      Obituary of Elizabeth Heath

      Elizabeth ?Beth? Lupton Heath, age 91, died peacefully at Carolina East Medical Center on Thursday June 25, 2009. Elizabeth was a loving daughter of the late Martha Woodard and Joseph Robinson Lupton.

      She was born in Whortonsville, NC on Jan 1, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin Heath in 1979, also by her 6 brothers, Lloyd, Amy, Ben, Hugh, Harold and Willie Lupton and two sisters, Ruby Lupton Duell and Gladys Lupton Richert.

      Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Monday June 29 at Pollock-Best Funeral Chapel . Rev. Stephen Fitzgerald will officiate and burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park near her home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Pollock-Best Funerals & Cremations and after the burial at The Family Life Center, Pollock Street section of the First Baptist Church.

      Mrs. Heath was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and attended faithfully until her health failed. She worked as manager assistant at McLellan?s 5 & 10 in downtown New Bern for 40 plus years. She was also a hard working farmer?s wife who for many years tended a peach orchard and chicken farm in what is now Trent Woods. She loved her flowers, vegetable garden and was a wonderful cook.

      Mama, ?Gramby?, Aunt Beth, is survived by her daughter Pat Heath Andresen and husband Richard; their two daughters, Debbie A. Lotridge and husband Neil and sons, Neil, Jr. and Cameron; and Beverly A. Richards and husband Doneal and children, Donnie and Amber; all of New Bern, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed.
